What is new in PINpoint v2.96?

Released in October 2011, PINpoint v2.96 is a minor/interim update, pending the release of PINpoint v3.0
The changes in v2.96 are:
- Automatically push images used in PINpoint Contacts List
- For the Contacts data fields that are flagged to be rendered as image, the corresponding image will be automatically pushed to the BlackBerry Browser cache.
- Automatically push of the arrow image used in the various generated lists
- The Arrow icon used on Contacts List, and Documents, Folder, and SiteMap Summaries is now automatically pushed behind the scene.
- Image files are no longer pushed using the actual Image URL
- In the various Summary Lists, the links that point to pushed images are now rendered using the PINpoint specific URLs, e.g.: http://serverName/pinpoint/pusher/refresh.aspx?documentid=###
- UTF-8 Encoding Configuration
- Exposed push Encoding setting in web.config file. Default is UTF-8 encoding enabled.
- When Tracing is enabled the application Logs will create a verbose log
- In order to help troubleshooting, a more verbose log is dumped to the file system when tracing setting is enabled in the application’s web.config file.
- Fixed links issue found on devices running a v4.x OS
- Fixed issue related to how links were rendered in devices running OS v4.x
