Although PINpoint could allow you to push PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, we strongly advise against using those formats, for two main reasons:

• Those formats were properly transcoded by BES v4.x and cached by BlackBerry v4.x devices. However, subsequent versions of BES v5.x and devices v5.x or higher no longer provide the same level of support, resulting in documents that cannot be consistently accessed or read by the end-user.
• Those formats are not "mobile friendly" and provide a poor user experience, e.g. hyperlinks may not work, images cannot be resized, some content and formatting may be lost, etc.

Because of this, we no longer support PDF, Word, Excel or PowerPoint formats in PINpoint, and we recommend that you convert the content to HTML.
